Rina in the first-time buyer division made the whole process manageable. I was completely lost on bonds and transfer costs. She walked me through everything, connected me with a bond originator, and never made me feel rushed.
Problems
The process itself is slow in South Africa. Rina managed expectations well but registration still took three months after offer acceptance.
Good to Know
Use a bond originator rather than going directly to your bank. Rina recommends specific ones and the rate difference saved me R180 per month on my bond repayment.
